Marina del Rey, CA and Woodside, CA (May 16, 2024)CrewLAB, a sports team management platform in use by thousands of coaches worldwide to manage team logistics, track workouts and performance, and communicate transparently with athletes is partnering with #WeRideTogether, a non-profit organization committed to ending sexual misconduct in sport. #WeRideTogether is the official Safeguarding Partner of USRowing and actively works to support all sporting communities, at every level. The partnership between CrewLAB and #WeRideTogether aims to promote a safe and healthy sporting environment for all participants and will provide #WeRideTogether’s educational, preventative, advocatory, survivor-centered materials and resources to CrewLAB’s network of athletes and coaches.

CrewLAB’s mission is to champion lifelong enjoyment and achievement in sports – by rallying the world’s largest community of coaches and making breakthrough tech available to all teams. The tech company understands the necessity of safeguarding within an active digital platform and provides a uniquely moderated environment for teams to engage while mitigating the risk of abuse via a transparent communication hub for teams, cultivating a positive and safe culture.

This partnership will provide athletes and coaches with resources such as the Coach Athlete Pledge, C.A.R.D. Diagrams, and PSAs to make their digital team environments more conducive to positive collaboration. It will kick off with a roundtable discussion, scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024, between CrewLAB and #WeRideTogether’s Director of Programs and Partnerships, Kathryn McClain, MSW, MBA about maintaining healthy team culture through the joy and heartbreak of race season.

Additionally, #WeRideTogether will support CrewLAB at regattas throughout 2024, including RowFest and Youth Nationals.

“From the beginning, CrewLAB aimed to make the world of sports positive and constructive – especially in digital spaces. Abuse is intolerable and hopefully preventable,” says Dominic Pardini, CEO of CrewLAB. “Partnering with #WeRideTogether advances our commitment to promoting safeguarding through our platform, keeping athletes safe and making sports better for everyone involved.”

“We are grateful to community leaders like CrewLAB for standing up against abuse in sports,” says Michaela Shepherd, MBA, Executive Director of #WeRideTogether. “We all have a role to play in stopping sexual abuse in sports, and all athletes deserve to play, compete, and learn in a safe environment.”
